Highland Lynx

The Highland Lynx, wild beauty and feline gentleness

Formerly known as the Highland Lynx, the Highlander is a rare cat with a wild look and an affectionate temperament.

A unique and fascinating breed

The Highland Lynx has an impressive physique, born from a cross between theJungle Curl and the Desert Lynx in the United States: it has inherited striking wild traits while remaining a domestic companion.

Recognisable by its curled ears, its short tail (or long, depending on the line) and sometimes its polydactyl paws, it also stands out for its sociable, playful character and its deep attachment to its human. A true cat-dog, still rare in France.

The Highland Lynx's characteristics

An imposing, unique physique

Curled ears, a muscular body, a short or long tail depending on the line, sometimes polydactyl paws and a spotted coat that recalls the wild cat.

An endearing temperament

Sociable, playful, curious and deeply attached to its human. Unlike other more independent breeds, the Highland Lynx constantly seeks company.

Great intelligence

It quickly learns the rules of the house and can even learn tricks, walk on a lead and interact like a dog — a real cat-dog.

Made for family life

It loves having children around and gets on well with other animals. Affectionate, it seeks out moments of tenderness.

Our story: a passion for the Highlander

A love of cats has always been with us, but we fell completely under the spell of this breed, still very rare in France. Won over by its unique appearance, its sociable temperament and its intelligence, we decided to devote ourselves to it by building a family cattery in Seine-et-Marne.

Our aim is simple: to introduce and champion the Highlander in France, by selecting quality lines, watching over the good health and wellbeing of our cats, and offering well-balanced, well-socialised kittens. Our kittens are imported from the finest catteries in the United States, in collaboration with one of the best French catteries.

Our commitments as breeders

A healthy living environment

Our cats roam freely, with access to secure spaces suited to their natural needs.

Optimal health

All of our Highland Lynx breeding cats are tested for the main genetic diseases.

Rigorous follow-up

Every kitten leaves the cattery vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and with a certificate of good health issued by our vet.

Responsible adoption

We guide every adopter in choosing their future companion and stay available after adoption.

Our breeding cats

Our current litter comes from our two breeding cats: Simba, a cinnamon Highland Lynx, and Lena, a chocolate Highland Lynx. Their kittens carry both of the breed's signature mutations: polydactyly and curled ears (curl).
